Digitising Local Food Markets – Technological Illusion or Necessity?

Invitation | European Roadshow CORENET – Kraków (13–14 May 2026)

We warmly invite you to join online the European Roadshow CORENET, bringing together experts from across Europe. The event will take place in Kraków on 13–14 May 2026 and is organised by IsoTech on behalf of the CORENET and CODECS projects (Horizon Europe), in cooperation with the City of Kraków, AGH University of Science and Technology, the Agricultural Advisory Centre (CDR), and the APPETIT Living Lab.

This year’s edition focuses on a key question:

Is the digitisation of local food markets a technological illusion, or a necessary step for effective coordination of “field‑to‑fork” processes in short food supply chains?

What will we discuss?

Through panel discussions, workshops, and expert exchanges, participants from across the EU will jointly explore:

  • the role of digitalisation in organising local food markets,

  • logistical, organisational, and institutional challenges of short food supply chains (SFSCs),

  • the role of advisory services in supporting cooperation and scaling local initiatives,

  • experiences from Poland and other EU countries,

  • the relationship between public policy, technology, and the real‑world functioning of local food markets.

The event is designed as a working and interactive meeting, with the aim of developing practical conclusions and recommendations for practitioners, advisors, and policymakers.

Online participation

Panel sessions and workshops on 13 May (Day 1), as well as selected elements of Day 2, will be live‑streamed online. We invite all those interested in the development of:

  • short food supply chains,

  • local food markets,

  • digital tools supporting cooperation between producers and consumers,

  • local and regional food policies.
